Four Graces Winery
Steve and Paula Black purchased the Black Family Estate Vineyard in 2003, and immediately began turning it into a sustainably farmed, well tended vineyard which produces rich, complex wines.
The Four Graces is aptly named after Steve and Paula Black four daughters Ė Alexis, Vanessa, Christiana, and Jillian. Brother Nicholas is recognized on the Reserve as "Keeper of The Four Graces." Under the winemaking guidance of Laurent Montalieu and vineyard expertise of Matt Novak, two of Oregonís most respected wine and viticulture authorities, the wines continue to excel.
Four Graces Pinot Noir Reserve 2011
Four Graces' Reserve Pinot Noir is a classic Oregon Pinot Noir with characteristics of black current and berry flavors with a good whack of Dundee Hills earthiness laced with smoky chocolate, vanilla and floral tones. Bold aromas of herb-roasted meat, loganberry, cedar and baking spice burst from the glass of this magenta-hued beauty. Flavors of black plum, ripe berries, a hint of vanilla and an intriguing touch of Earl Grey tea mingle in delicious harmony while muscular tannins balance with assertive acidity to offer excellent structure and cellar-worthy longevity.

Four Graces Pinot Noir 2012
Grapes for this cuvee are sourced from the Black Family Estate in the Dundee Hills,
Doe Ridge Estate in the Yamhill Cartlon AVA and hand selected fruit from other quality
vineyards in the Willamette Valley. Temperatures were in the 70ís and low 80ís throughout the month warming all
fruit in the Willamette Valley to optimal ripeness. Hints of plum and spice are softened by a charming French vanilla component suggested by the oak. The mouthfeel is rich and ripe, a direct reflection of the warm vintage. Mouth coating and lush, the wine finishes with mature, silky tannins. This vintage has been heralded all along the west coast of North America. The wet
and cool spring pushed bud break forward and interrupted flowering. The result was a
low crop set.
