Tenuta di Arceno
In Tuscany’s Chianti Classico region between Florence and Siena,
wines have been made in these hills since the dawn of the Etruscan civilization nearly 3,000 years ago. Historically known as the "Tenuta di Villa Arceno", the Villa Arceno estate rests amid the rolling hills of the Chianti Classico district, where winemakers have produced wines of exceptional depth and character for hundreds of years. Since its purchase by Jess Jackson and Barbara Banke in 1994, Tenuta di Arceno has become one of Tuscany’s premier wineries.
Tenuta Arceno Chianti Classico 2012
For centuries, the finest Chianti has been produced from within the Chianti Classico region in the hills of Tuscany. The Tenuta di Arceno estate lies among these hills and is home to this special Chianti Classico wine. Lovingly caring for their vines, listening to the message of the soiland respecting the expression of the fruit allows them to create wines that reflect the special character unique to Tenuta di Arceno.
Taking the essence of the Cypress trees surrounding their vineyards, the nose begins with hints of a resinous forest quality and gives way to aromas of cherries and spice.
The ripeness of the fruit is balanced with zesty acidity and dusty tannins. Pair well with pappardelle with wild boar, aged pecorino, Florentine steak, game and flavorful meat dishes.
