The family owned Stival Winery is located in the northeastern
part of Italy in the Veneto
Region. It is very common in the Veneto to see Italian
names like Stival that do not end with a vowel.
Father Mario Stival and sons Mauro and Giovanni oversee all phases of the
winerys operation. Mauro and Giovanni are both oenologists and graduates of the
school of Viticulture in Conegliano. Being family owned and operated assures the
wines high quality. Most wines competing at this price are produced by large corporations or co-operative growers where no one person oversees the quality of the product and puts his name on the bottle. Today’s market demands high quality at an affordable price. Stival delivers both.
Stival Pinot Grigio 2013
The Venetos most popular grape, Pinot Grigio, makes this wine pleasant, crisp and very refreshing. Light straw yellow, it has a characteristic bouquet of fruit and acacia blossoms. Balanced on the palate with a fresh, harmonious flavor. Light and dry, this wine is easy to drink on its own or with any lightly flavored dish.
This Pinot Grigio pairs nicely with seafood, light pastas and cheeses, poultry and pork. Since this wine is full of fruit with a fleshy mouth feel and crisp acid edge, this wine is a pleasure to drink by itself - with no meal at all - at any time!
