Joseph Drouhin Laforêt Pinot Noir 2006
A dozen of various appellations especially rigorously selected by Joseph Drouhin are used for this wine.
The first plantings of Pinot Noir in Burgundy probably go back to 150 BC. Laforêt Bourgogne rouge,
made 100% with this famous grape, is the archetype of red Burgundy for Joseph Drouhin. A wine full of charm: bright ruby color and a nose rich with aromas of red fruit (raspberry, red currants, wild
strawberry). On the palate, the wine is pleasant, fruity and refreshing, with light tannins and great elegance. The bouquet is expressive, clean and pure reminding one of little red berries, and already some
notes of maturity. These most enjoyable wines are expressing the qualities of both pinot noir and their Burgundian

Joseph Drouhin Macon Villages 2007
A large terroir in the south of Burgundy, close to Pouilly-Fuissé.
The size of this region allows considerable freedom in selecting wines with
different characteristics very favorable to the cultivation of the Chardonnay
grape. The color of the wine is bright and limpid. The nose is floral and fruity. Very straightforward and direct on the palate,
as if biting into a grape. Fresh and light, with a very pleasant aftertaste. The palate shows subtle aromas of fruit (peach, pear) over hints of fresh almonds and honey.
The wines are mineral and the first attack is lively.
Acidity and richness mingle to reveal an harmonious structure.

Joseph Drouhin Gevrey Chambertin 2005
Gevrey-Chambertin is a wine with a beautiful, bright ruby color. Intensely fruity on the nose, the aromas are reminiscent of black cherry, wild blackberry and liquorice. The woody character is subtle and marries delicately with the other aromas. As the wine evolves, there are more complex notes, such as mild spice, nutmeg and leather. Later still, mushroom and damp earth nuances make their appearance. Although present on the palate, tannin is never astringent but blends itself harmoniously with the natural freshness and "gras" (velvety texture) of the wine. The same aromas encountered earlier on the nose are found again in the aftertaste. "A charged Burgundy, packed with dense tannins and powerful ripe black berry fruits. There’s a delicious tension here between the fruits and the tannin, pushing the acidity, the red plums and strawberries forward, but keeping them in check. At this stage, it needs decanting; otherwise keep for 2–3 years. R.V. (8/1/2008)" - Rated 90, Wine Enthusiast
