Founded in 1928, the Huet estate now covers 35 hectares divided between three properties: Le Haut-Lieu, Le Mont and Le Clos
du Bourg. Domaine Huet is probably the leading name in the Loire appellation of Vouvray. They are well known as one of the early adopters of biodynamics. As the head of the estate for over thirty years, Noël Pinguet has decided to step down from his position as President of Domaine Huet. Sarah Hwang, a shareholder of the estate since 2003, assumes the role of President. In any given vintage, the estate can produce up to four different cuvées from each site: Sec, Demi-Sec, Moelleux, or Moelleux 1ère Trie.

Their terroir-driven biodynamic white wine expresses the purity of Vouvray Chenin. They source top-quality Chenin Blanc berries with natural high levels of acidity from their Haut-Lieu vineyard, situated along the right bank of the Loire River. Le Haut Lieu's deep limeston-clay soil produces wines that typically blossom early. Haut-Lieu parcel, which lies on Vouvray's "Première Côte" (or "first slope"), is home to virtually all of the appellation's acknowledged grand cru vineyards. This estate dry white results out of their steadfast commitment to biodynamic viticulture and classic winemaking, both hallmarks of the Domaine Huet story. A straw yellow color unveils shimmering silver highlights and fresh white fruit aromas. On the palate, the attack is precise with a gently roundness finishing with an abundance of minerality.
