In 1993, the Leonardini Family of San Francisco bought the Whitehall Lane Estate from foreign ownership. Under the guidance of the Leonardini Family, new equipment was brought in, a new barrel program was instituted and they began sourcing the finest vineyards. Whitehall Lane now owns a total of 110 acres of Napa Valley vineyards that produce Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc. The balance of the fruit used in the wines comes from local growers who produce top quality fruit.
The winery owns five prime vineyards that are the cornerstone on which the wines are made and include the Whitehall Lane Estate Vineyard, Rutherford West Vineyard and Bommarito Vineyard in the Rutherford Appellation, the Leonardini Vineyard in St. Helena and the Oak Glen Vineyard in Napa.
