Far Niente Vineyards
 Founded in 1885, Far Niente operated as a winery until the onset of Prohibition, and was then abandoned for 60 years. Purchased by Gil Nickel in 1979, this historic Oakville winery was restored and vineyards were replanted. Founded with a passion to make exceptional wines, Far Niente wines are rich in aroma, flavor, and texture, yet balanced with graceful finesse. Today, the winery pursues the dream of creating an American wine estate of international importance.
