Six generations of the Bogle family have farmed in the Clarksburg wine growing region and it is
their hope that another six generations will continue to prosper in this wonderful area. The Bogle family has been farming the Sacramento River Delta since the late 1800's...and is proud to produce great wines for all to enjoy! That is why good stewardship of this land is so important. The Bogles first sold their grapes to wineries and founded their family winery in 1979.
Bogle Chardonnay 2012
Bogle’s Chardonnay has a little something for everyone: barrel fermentation, sur-lies aging, and partial malolactic fermentation. These hand-crafted processes create a wine with a generous entry and layers of complexity. Green apple and ripe pear overwhelm the senses, while creamy and buttery notes caress mid-palate. New American oak lends nutmeg and spicy tones to the wine. The finish leaves with crispness and balanced acidity. creating a wine perfect for pairing with nearly every kind of food.

Bogle Petite Sirah 2009
Bogle’s Petite Sirah is full-bodied and loaded with tons of black fruit; black
currants, plums, and blackberries. There is a smoky note on the palate with just
a little bit of spice that I enjoy while drinking this wine. The finish is nice
and smooth. This wine pairs well with a variety of foods including grilled meats.
"Vivid, juicy wild blackberry and dark fruit flavors are appealing, with thick tannins and plenty of punch to the flavors, accented by spice and tobacco notes."

Brighter fruit and brighter spice highlight this vintage of the deep ruby apparition. Aromas of plums and cherries are embraced by touches of black pepper. From the deep dark depths, subtle notes of anise, juniper and vanilla emerge and compliment the concentrated fruit characters of this wine. Captured in 1, 2 and 3 year old American oak barrels, this wine showcases the best these distinct varietals have to offer. Though this wine is remarkable now, age in the bottle will only integrate the three unique varietals more. Welcome the winery ghost into your home again with this latest vintage, and enjoy with full-flavored and hearty meals… before it vanishes again.

Many of the wine sites in California have a microclimate that distinguish them and favor specific wine grape varietals. For example, some of the best vineyard sites sit in valleys that provide cool, foggy ocean air or moderate temperatures.
