Artesa is set high into a hilltop with panoramic views of Napa Valley, San Francisco Bay and its own estate vineyards.
Owned by the Raventos family of Spain, whose winemaking history dates to the mid-sixteenth century, the winery takes its name from the Catalan word for "handcrafted."
Artesa shares five centuries of history with 15 generations of a remarkable winemaking family. Today, Artesa focuses on producing small, ultra-premium lots of the varietals for which the Carneros and the Napa Valley are best known - Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Artesa Chardonnay Los Carneros
Artesa's Chardonnay vineyards span the entire cool climate Carneros region. Temperatures are moderated by the adjoining San Pablo Bay, cool afternoon breezes and persistent morning fog. Lemon blossoms, green apple, ripe pineapple and honeydew melon are front and center in this Chardonnay. This crisp fruitiness is combined with nuances of vanilla topped cream brulee, butter, and toasted oak making this wine both easy to enjoy and seductively complex. Silky supple with lingering flavors, yet a tingle of crisp acid on the finish; a great accompaniment for food and friends.

Artesa Elements Red Wine
Elements is an intriguing blend of red Bordeaux varietals with a small amount of Rhone varietals included for their spicy and meaty characters. Elements is the best from Artesa's vineyards including Napa Carneros, Foss Valley near Atlas Peak. This wine is principally Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, sourced from the Sonoma Valley, Knight's Valley and Alexander Valley appellations as well as Napa's Carneros and Atlas Peak areas. The cooler regions of Carneros and Sonoma Valley provide great weight and density, while the volcanic rock mountain sides of Atlas Peak and Alexander Valley provide great fruit intensity.
