There are many wine choices you can make that will go well
with Turkey and the traditional meal. Which Wine with Turkey is a question that comes up often, and especially around the holidays.
The many flavors on the table for Thanksgiving make it difficult to choose
just one wine. This is just designed to take the
guesswork and simplify things for you. |

Thanksgiving Wines
These four wines were hand selected to perfectly complement any Thanksgiving meal! A sparkling wine is wonderful from the toast, to the entree, to dessert. It's appropriate at anytime. A rich creamy Chardonnay will hold up wonderfully with turkey and potatoes. Of course, the all-American Zinfandel is a natural choice for a bird.

Roederer Estate NV
Brut Rose
Like the Roederer Estate Anderson Valley Brut, the Roederer Estate Rosé is
untraditional. While most rosés are made with more Pinot Noir than
Chardonnay, the Roederer Estate Rosé is a blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40%
Chardonnay. For color, the winemaker prepares a small portion of Pinot
Noir with extended maceration and adds about 5% to the blend.

Dry Creek Vineyard 2002 Pinot Noir Sonoma County
Opaque with a garnet hue. Prominent aromas of cranberry,
cherry fruit and rose petals give way to a bouquet of creamy vanilla and
cloves. Intense flavors of cranberry, plum and cherry play against
understated spicy clove and cinnamon. Chocolate, concentrated fruit,
creamy oak, vanilla and soft tannins focus all the elements into a
graceful finish with smoky overtones.

For the panoply of flavors on the Thanksgiving table,
sparkling wines are a no-brainer. Bright acidity, fruit and yeasty
undertones make bubbly extremely food-friendly. Especially good are
Brut rosé and Blanc de Noir, which can take you from the Brie or
Chevre hors d'oeuvre to the vinaigrette salad right through the
turkey and potatoes and onto the pie. The Pinot Noir grapes in these
wines provide body, some tannin for texture, red-fruit character,
complexity and acid balance.
