Gloria Ferrer Winery in Sonoma, California, has produced some of the world's
most honored and acclaimed sparkling wines, winning over 50 gold medals in the
last five years. José Ferrer's father, Pedro, wanted to build a winery that
would remind him of his home in Catalonia, Spain. That's why there are red tiles
on the roof, thick walls the color of the Spanish plains and the same
hacienda-style archways one finds in every town and village in Spain. He named
the wine and winery as a tribute to his wife.
