Lanson |

|
Lanson was founded in 1760 by François Delamotte, who was a magistrate in Reims, and today it is one of the oldest Champagne Houses. Nicolas-Louis Delamotte, son of François Delamotte and a Knight of the Order of Malta, took over in 1798 and decided to use the Malta Cross as the House’s crest.
Lanson et Cie changed its name after Madame Delamotte’s death and became Lanson Père et Fils. Helped by his two sons Victor-Marie and Henri, Jean-Baptiste Lanson soon established major customers in Germany, Holland and England.
Lanson is the fourth largest Champagne House in the world and is best known for
its Brut Non Vintage, the Lanson Black Label. Lanson is one of the very few
Champagne Houses which avoids the malolactic fermentation. This practice retains
the freshness and fruitiness of each cuvee and enables the wines to age longer.
Noble Cuvée
The Noble Cuvée will stand the test of time as only the very greatest wines can.
To the eye, A fine light yellow color with fine, effervescent bubbles.
To the nose, Flowers and honey with the lightest hint of smoke.
To the palate, Lingering honey and hazelnut with a lively finish. Plenty of body without the weight of wine, its subtlety of balance provides
vigor and length. Its fresh finish emphasizes the finesse of the wine without sacrificing its harmony.
Gold Label Cuvée
Vibrant and mouthfilling, this is packed with lively citrus flavors yet nicely
rounded out with vanilla accents and a smooth finish. Rated 89
Wine Spectator.
