Established in Urville in the Côte des Bars region since 1908, Drappier's family today grow a 75 hectare (99-acre) estate. Charles de Gaulle, an epicurian
neighbor in Colombey les Deux Eglises, came to adorn his cellar with Drappier most famous cuvees.
Planted by the Gallo Romans circa 1 AD, their vineyard was one of the first to be improved by the Cistercians of the Clairvaux Abbey. Saint Bernard participated in the building of our 12th Century cellars.
The strong-flavored cuvees that are currently aging here are shipped to the best tables on the five continents.
Brut Rose Champagne
one of the rare Houses producing Rosé by the saignée method. Several days of maceration give this cuvée an intense color marked by the Pinot Noir.
On the nose there are hints of red fruits and violet with a lightly spiced note. Receiving only a light dosage, on the palate it is remarkably expressive and extremely fresh, with a subtle trace of liquorice in the finish. Very well structured, with exemplary purity of red fruits. A striking Champagne on
the nose offering similar sensations on the palate. Warm and satiny, lightly spiced
with balanced hints of stoned fruits thanks to a lovely freshness in the finish.

Carte d'Or Brut Champagne
Drappier is a well respected champagne house with celebrity drinkers like Luciano Pavarotti.
Made exclusively from first pressings using a technique which allows minimal sulphur (three times lower than average) making it a very natural product.
The Drappier Carte d’Or expresses all the aromas of the noble grape variety Pinot Noir. This in fact constitutes at least 80% of the blend. A red grape producing white juice, it is sought after not only for its structure but also for its very characteristic fine notes of red fruits.

Drappier's Carte d'Or Brut champagne has all the aroma of the Pinot Noir quality grape variety, which in fact makes up 90% of the blend. This is a black grape with white juice and is highly prized not only for its structure but also for the subtle notes of red fruits which characterize it. A touch of Chardonnay gives freshness, while the more souple Pinot Meunier grapes impart a fine after-taste. By using only the most noble extracts go to make up this blend, for which Drappier is justly famed.
