Huneeus purchased the Pinnacles vineyard site in Monterey, gambling that
he had found the optimal cool climate to plant vineyards for the
production of Chardonnay. Since then, these vineyards have proven to rival
those of California's world-famous Carneros and Russian River
appellations.
Our Monterey vineyards are located on the Santa Lucia Highlands, with the
Gavilan Mountains to the east and the Santa Lucia Range and Pacific Ocean
to the west. One of the world's most ideal climates to grow high quality
Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
